The blog is active again!

Around the middle of July 2018, I suspended this blog due to significant changes in my personal life and ministry. The Lord in perfect sovereignty and providence allowed difficult events to impact my life so that I could not continue working on the blog. Energy and opportunity failed me but not desire. In inexhaustible mercy and infinite grace, the Lord guided my family and me to a place of new relationships and opportunities. While our immediate future is still uncertain, I look forward with the optimism that genuine faith gives to what the Lord has in store for us.

I enjoy blogging and hate that I had to suspend it. It was always in the back of my mind, but the tyranny of the immediate prevented me from work on the website. Recently, new friends encouraged me to revive the blog. My current life situation allows for my energy to follow my desire to continue this work.

Here is a reminder about how to use this website. First, please subscribe to the website (options are located on each post and at the bottom of the website). Second, please share the posts. Third, please comment in a positive way. This doesn’t mean that criticism isn’t allowed. It does mean that you are encouraged to distinguish between error and personal preference. Comments that are caustic or toxic will be removed or not allowed to display. Let what you say be filled with grace and seasoned with salt (Colossians 4.6). Fourth, the website offers a search function at the bottom. You will find the authors as categories and the topics or subjects as tags. A search dialog box (which looks similar to the subscription box) may be found at the bottom of the website. Fifth, if you know me, please do not think that I weaponized the website if I post a quote that coincides with a recent interaction with you. I do not do that. If there is a problem between us, I will communicate directly with you, not air my grievances on social media.

For my regular followers, thank you for your patience, and I hope that you will continue to find encouragement. For new readers, I welcome you as we walk together with Christ, learning from the wisdom and teaching of godly men and women.

God bless you all!

Getting Back on Track

To my Life Is Worship readers, thank you for your patience. The nasty flu that’s been going around knocked me back about 10 feet. I was down for the count for two weeks and played catch up for the next two. Then several other events occurred all at the same time, conspiring to keep me from blogging.

I will renew my efforts tomorrow (February 21). Thank you for being patient.

God bless!

Matt

Brief Break

Dear Life Is Worship reader, I want to thank you for your readership and support over the past several years. I need to take a brief break. My family has a serious situation to address (which is why I haven’t posted anything this week), and blogging will have to take a back seat temporarily. I plan to resume posts on Monday, December 15. A few posts may appear between now and then because they were created a while ago.

If you would, please say a prayer for God’s all-sufficient grace for us in our time of weakness.

God bless!

Matt
